As an educational classroom program, our primary goal is to ensure that every student has FUN while learning science in a safe environment. Most of our lessons involve an interactive group discussion followed by an engaging hands-on experiment. As such, students participating in Club Scientific must be capable of following our Code of Conduct.
To ensure a great experience for all students, please discuss the following expectations with your child prior to their first Club Scientific class.
- Any rules that apply during their normal school day will also carry over into our classes. This includes but is not limited to:
- Showing respect to fellow students and instructors. (No repetitive interruptions, inappropriate volume, bullying, , etc…)
- Caring for all science materials provided for each lesson, as well as the "lab" or classroom space provided by the school. (No misusing materials, vandalizing classroom furniture, etc…)
- Following all safety instructions given by instructors. (No eating science materials, running around classroom, horseplay, etc…)
- There is zero tolerance for physical altercations in Club Scientific. We strive for a “Scientists are Kind to Each Other” atmosphere and will encourage building kind and respectful friendships. Hitting, kicking, spitting, or any other inappropriate physical contact will result in immediate removal from the program.
- Students whose behavior excessively or repetitively disrupts the learning of other students may be dismissed from future classes. We may refer to this Code of Conduct when dismissing students.
Thank you for helping us create a wonderful experience for your child! If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].
